Mobile Fun, a British online retailer of mobile accessories, has
extended its warehouse and distribution centre to meet increasing
demand overseas.
The retailer has expanded its UK warehouse by 25 per cent
following its aggressive international expansion to Spain, The
Netherlands, Italy and the US in the past 18 months, adding to
its existing portfolio of sites in the UK, France and
Germany.
Operations director, Ruel Taylor, says, “As a result of
continually increasing demand from customers worldwide, our
existing warehouse simply wasn’t large enough to handle all the
orders we are now processing. Our reputation for offering the
largest range of mobile accessories is extending beyond the UK
and Europe, so we’ve created additional space to help us fulfil
growing international orders quickly.”
Along with international orders, which make up 30 per cent of
total revenue, the extended warehouse will prepare Mobile Fun for
the upcoming Christmas period. Last December, Mobile Fun achieved
its first “million month” with sales of more than
£1.1 million (approximately $1.8 million) and the company
anticipates order numbers will increase significantly this year,
thanks in part to several new device launches including the
iPhone 5, Galaxy S3 and Nexus products.
