Victoria Plumb, the online bathroom retailer, has appointed
Thomas Henley and Joe Axon as
web developers to support the company’s development plans for
2013 and help it exploit its TV campaign and other marketing
initiatives.
Lisa Neatham has joined children’s furniture
cataloguer Great Little Trading Company as marketing manager. She
replaces Rowena Cumner, who left the business at
the end of January.
British brand Radley has announced Xavier
Simonet as its new chief executive. Simonet joins from
DB Apparel Group, the owner of the Playtex and Wonderbra
brands.
Lucas Frank, a Yorkshire-based designer/manufacturer of
children’s clothing, has hired Sarah Beveridge
as its marketing director while Alan Simpson
joins the business as creative director. In addition,
Richard Leech is appointed as an independent
sales agent.
Robin Terrell is leaving House of Fraser to join
Tesco as multichannel director.
Meg Lustman is stepping down as managing
director of Aurora Fashions-operated Warehouse. She retains her
position on the Aurora board.
Kate Smyth, who has been interim eCommerce
consultant at Dune Group since the departure of Rob
Bostock last year, has been promoted to director of
eCommerce at the apparel and footwear group.
Weird Fish, the lifestyle apparel label, appointed
Matthew Janes, formerly head of marketing and
press at SuperGroup and head of creative marketing services at
New Look, as its head of brand communications. Bethany
Phillips, a former head of design at White Stuff and
Saltwater, joins Weird Fish as head of design.
US fashion retailer Brooks Brothers has appointed Giles
Preston, a former sales agent at luxury menswear brand
Ermenegildo Zegna, as its first wholesale manager for the UK as
it looks to expand its wholesale operations.
Euan Sutherland, currently group chief operating
officer at B&Q and Screwfix owner Kingfisher, is joining the
Co-operative Group in May as group chief executive. Sutherland
has been a nonexecutive director of the Co-op’s food business
since 2010.
Mobile Fun has appointed Shiah Yoong as product
and purchasing manager.
Supermarket Morrisons is promoting Nick Collard
to its management board in June as group marketing and customer
director. Casper Meijer will lead the other
commercial functions from June as group trading director and
Belinda Youngs is promoted to corporate brand marketing director
reporting to Collard.
TNT Post has restructured its operational management team with
the promotion of Jon Ormond to director of DSA
operations, Dean Hulse to director of transport
and Gary Robinson to director of end to end.
Current director of operations, Martijn de Lange
leaves the business to become operations director at delivery
company Hermes at the end of March. TNT Post also announced the
appointment of Nigel Polglass as chief operating
officer and Andrew Goddard taking the role of
commercial director.
Prolog, a provider of fulfilment and logistics outsourcing
services, has appointed Guy Smith as joint
managing director. Smith rejoins the business after eight years
away.
Digital marketing agency 7thingsmedia has hired Zeeshan
Mallick as head of search. Reporting to performance
director David McDermott, Mallick will be
responsible for the international development of the PPC and SEO
channels.
At a board meeting on the 12th December, John
Lau, principal owner of the Allport Cargo Services
Group, announced that from 2nd April 2013, Danny
Clayton and Jerry Gray become joint
managing directors taking over the day-to-day running of the
business. The news comes as Allport celebrates its 50th
anniversary and relaunches its brand identity. Strategically, the
global rebrand is the first component in the move to position
Allport Cargo Services as an ethical global forwarder.
Paul Farquharson has joined full service
creative agency Intermarketing Agency as senior creative from STV
Creative.
Easilift Loading Systems, a provider of loading bay solutions to
the retail and logistics sector has announced that Jon
Tridgell, currently operations director, has become a
shareholder in the company, further strengthening its UK
management team.
