After reviewing the viability of two of its brands, multititle
mailer Findel has decided to discontinue The Cotswold Company and
Letterbox operations axing approximately 60 jobs with immediate
effect. As predicted in Catalogue
e-business‘s March issue, Findel will also close the central
administration functions of Findel Direct, based in Chadderton,
and incorporate them into its existing–credit-based–home
shopping business.
In a statement Findel said that the closures will eliminate
losses of £8 million from future trading performance.
