Lush new international sites for cosmetics firm


Natural cosmetics company Lush is relaunching its ecommerce
websites in North America using Demandware’s cloud-based
ecommerce platform to power its new US, Canadian and French
Canadian sites. Demandware partners LiveAreaLabs and Precision
Design will work on the design and implementation of the three
new sites.

Mark Wolverton, chief executive of Lush Cosmetics North America,
said the new site will lessen the burden of administrative task
and enable to company “to focus on improving our marketing,
merchandising and customer experiences across all our sites while
continuing to grow and expand globally.” Lush will also be
working with Demandware’s Link partners, Gigya and PowerReviews
to create a community site experience.

In the UK, Lush relaunched its
website in September
after the Information Commissioner’s
Office found the retailer to be in breach of the Data Protection
Act and that its measures to keep customers’ payment details
secure and monitor suspicious activity were insufficient.
