Mark Suckle is leaving QVC UK, where he was CEO for the last 14 years.

August 2007

Steve Hofmann joins the company in September and will
assume the chief executive role in January 2008. He was
previously co-chief executive at Shop Channel in Japan, which
generated sales of $870 million in 2006. Suckle joined QVC UK in
1994, at the end of the channel’s first year in the UK. David
Frey, president of QVC International, commented, “It is with
mixed emotions that I announce Mark’s retirement. While I regret
the loss of a seasoned and respected executive such as Mark, I am
happy that he will be moving on to another stage of his life.
Among his many accomplishments during his 14 years at QVC UK,
Mark drove the acquisition of distribution on DTT, which will
enable QVC to be in every home in Britain. He also championed the
‘Buy Now’ button, which allows satellite and cable viewers to
order by using their remote control, a technological first for
QVC”.
