Up to 50 jobs could be lost at tools and hardware company
Screwfix. A spokesperson told the BBC that “organisational changes are
essential from time to time to ensure continued growth”
and that the reshuffle was not due to difficult market
conditions. It is understood that the employees holding the 50
posts affected will be given a chance to reapply for existing
vacancies first.
Redcats chairman and CEO Thierry Falque-Pierrotin is to
leave the multichannel fashion and home furnishing group to
join Comet’s parent company and Europe’s third largest
electricals retailer Kesa as chief executive, reports
the Telegraph.
The owner of Norfolk-based Bawdeswell Aquatic & Pets
Ltd has vowed to rebuild the business after it fell into
liquidation. EDP24 reported that the owner will continue
to trade from the same premises but has set up a new company
name, Diamondreams.co.uk Ltd.
