News roundup–Avon, SpaceNK, TM Lewis, more

Cosmetics marketer Avon has rebuffed a $10
billion takeover bid from fragrance and beauty specialist
Coty. The Avon board dismissed the bid as
“opportunistic” and said “Coty’s indication of
interest substantially undervalues Avon”.

Also from the cosmetics sector, SpaceNK has
relaunched its UK and US websites on the eCommera Commerce
Platform. SpaceNK is set to follow up the launch with multiple
international sites and websites dedicated to specific brands.
The platform integrates with the Demandware eCommerce platform;
CyberSource for secure online payments; The Third Man for fraud
prevention; BazaarVoice for social media integration and
Responsys, which executes its digital campaigns. Paul Lewis
Design worked on the site’s design.

TM Lewis is pursuing its international expansion
strategy with the launch of stores in Australia. The shirt
retailer already has a presence in the continent after selling a
selected range in Myer stores in Sydney and Melbourne. TM Lewin
will now open standalone stores in the two cities.

Design Week magazine reports that
Blacks is poised to rebrand following its
acquisition by JD Sports.
