News roundup–Express Gifts, Barratts Priceless

Investment in its Express Gifts division has
paid off, says catalogue group Findel. According
to the Manchester Evening News, Express Gifts has
outperformed expectations since the launch of a turnaround plan,
which saw Findel invest £7 million in its systems.

The administrator of the Barratts Priceless Group will close five
Barratts and 13 Priceless
stores tomorrow; 127 employees have been made redundant. In
addition, 43 employees were made redundant from the head office
in Bradford.
