Turnover for the full year at Simply Be and
Jacamo owner N Brown Group was
up 4.8 per cent to £753.2 million. Pretax profit was also up,
by 2.5 per cent, to £96.9 million. The company’s solid
performance was driven by developments in multichannel retailing,
including investments in eCommerce, which saw online sales rise
16 per cent to £377 million, representing more than half of
total sales for the first time. As predicted earlier this week
Figleaves, the 13-year-old lingerie etailer, announced its maiden
profit last year.
John Walden, the new chief executive of Argos,
has appointed consultants to conduct a review of the retailer,
which could see some stores close, reports the Telegraph.
Nine items from an ASOS capsule collection are
being made available offline as well as on the ASOS.com website.
In collaboration with London concept store B Store, ASOS rolls
out its new collection this week.
