Sensitive to the increasing demands of consumers, vente-privee.com has extended its partnership with MetaPack. The Group will work with MetaPack to accelerate the integration of new delivery services in line with its customers’ expectations.
Vente-privee.com ships over 30 million parcels per year worldwide and has recently ramped up its international expansion with the acquisition of Privalia in Spain and Vente-Exclusive in Belgium, as well as a majority stake in the Swiss site eboutic.ch. To respond to consumer expectations and new standards set by global giants, the Group aims to widen its range of delivery solutions and offer its clients more choice, flexibility and clarity. The site has expanded its offering with high value-added services and OOH delivery options such as pick-up and drop-off points, in-store collection, as well as plans to implement secure lockers too.
“Consumers no longer tolerate uncertainty and expect a seamless customer experience. MetaPack is helping us implement an efficient logistics strategy, meaning that we can focus on our core business. By reducing carrier integration times and simplifying the management and maintenance of delivery flows, MetaPack’s technology allows us, essentially, to optimise our operational efficiency, limit the mobilisation of our resources and accelerate implementation timeframes”, says Sébastien Bellone, group transport director at vente-privee.com.
Backed up by its catalogue of 400 carriers and 4,000 services across the world, MetaPack enables the Group to respond to specific circumstances and local constraints (carriers, consumer delivery preferences, regulations and so on) mainly in France, Spain and Italy.
“We are delighted to support vente-privee.com in its international delivery strategy. As the race is on for innovation and quality of service, the ability for retailers to fulfil their delivery promise to their customers is currently a considerable challenge. Offering services which meet consumers’ daily needs, especially on an international level, is a prerequisite. Flexibility and operational excellence are essential for meeting ever-changing consumer expectations”, says Pierre Soria, VP Southern Europe at MetaPack.
